In our "Reading Club" seminar, we discuss academic publications from the field of software engineering. The goal of the seminar is to deepen skills in critical reading, analysis, and discussion of texts. Each session is moderated by one or more participants who prepare discussion questions, while every participants is expected to have read the text as preparation for the discussion. Topics are determined according to the suggestions and interests of the participants. This semester, we will focus on classical papers from the field of software engineering and related fields, which fundamentally shaped the way we develop software today.

Voraussetzungen
  • Broad interest in software engineering
  • Interest in academic reading
  • Willingness to actively participate in discussions and read texts in advance
Leistungsnachweis

For passing the seminar: active particpation in 80% of the sessions. 

For a grade for Module "Wissenschaftliches Arbeiten": Written review of an academic paper from the field of software engineering.
